Give with purpose and confidence
Philanthropy is personal. It reflects what matters to you and the difference you hope to make.
We help individuals, families, family offices and trustees turn those priorities into a thoughtful giving plan. Whether you are starting out or reviewing an established programme, we offer research, advice and ongoing review support.
Discuss your givingStart with what matters to you
We take time to understand your interests, experience, resources and preferred involvement. Together, we establish priorities and a practical basis for deciding where to give.
Consider how to give
We help you explore the practical features of different approaches, including direct donations, foundations, trusts and donor-advised funds.
Where a formal structure may be appropriate, we help you prepare your philanthropic brief and questions for the relevant provider and your appointed advisers. They assess legal, tax and investment matters and undertake any establishment work.
Assess causes and grant opportunities
We research organisations and programmes that fit your interests, review available information and prepare recommendations for your consideration. We explain what we know, what still needs checking and how each opportunity relates to your priorities.
Grantmaking advice is also available as a standalone service.
Support your decision-making
We prepare due diligence summaries, grant recommendations and decision papers. We can also help organise records and reporting requirements within an agreed administrative scope.
You or the authorised trustees approve grants and retain control of funds. Investment advice and management remain with your appointed advisers and providers.
Review your giving
We help you assess how grants have been used, what has been achieved and what you want to learn next. The timing and format of reporting are agreed around your needs. Any investment information included is supplied by the relevant provider or adviser.
Plan for continuity
We help families and trustees think about how their philanthropic priorities may develop over time, including the involvement of future generations. Where this involves wills, succession arrangements or changes to a structure, the legal and tax work remains with the appropriate advisers.
Communicate your philanthropy
If you want to share your giving more publicly, we can advise on its story, communications and event concepts. Any fundraising activity, event delivery or media approaches remain with you or your appointed delivery team.
We also advise trustee bodies with several historic funds, including Livery Companies, Guilds and their associated charitable trusts, on reviewing giving priorities and reporting to members. We are glad to discuss what that involves.
